Launching August 2026!

Global Walk for Asian Elephants Week

Join the Herd, Walk for Elephants

In August 2026, alongside World Elephant Day, we will launch our first ever Global Walk for Asian Elephants Week, a worldwide movement inspired by the incredible journeys elephants make and the strength of their family bonds.

Walk wherever you are in the world. Walk solo or gather your ‘herd’ - friends, family, colleagues, school groups - and take part in a global act of solidarity and hope for the future of Asian elephants. More information will be available as the event develops - sign up to register your interest below!

Why walk?

Elephants walk hundreds of miles in their lifetimes, often retracing paths filled with memory, meaning, and community. Walking is accessible, reflective, and unifying, and a powerful gesture of empathy.

This event also honours a symbolic journey completed in 2020: During the COVID-19 pandemic, over 100 elephants in Thailand were forced to march nearly 100 miles to return to their villages when tourism collapsed, putting them at risk of starvation. To raise funds for Save Elephant Foundation’s vital support programs, Esther walked 100 miles in London over four days, completing ten 10-mile loops. The repetitive loops symbolised the repetitive paths elephants in riding camps are forced to endure.

Your participation will support real change

Instead of fundraising, we will raise support through an entrance fee and all funds raised will be donated to Save Elephant Foundation, a registered Thai non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting the protection, rescue and rehabilitation of Asian elephants.

An organisation the lives and breathes the Act Big Live Small ethos.

Be part of the launch

Our goal for 2026 is to unite 200 walkers worldwide for this inaugural event and build a global movement year by year.
